Relief from Back Pain: Trigger Point Injection Services

Don’t let back pain disrupt your life. YA Medical offers trigger point injection services to alleviate muscle knots, reduce pain, and improve mobility. Learn how our treatments restore muscle function and enhance your quality of life.

Debilitating back pain, whether acute or chronic, can stem from various muscle groups, causing soreness, stiffness, and spasms. Factors like stress, poor posture, injury, and lifestyle habits contribute to the formation of muscle knots, hindering blood flow and metabolism. Left untreated, these knots can severely impact your quality of life.

YA Medical provides trigger point injection services to target and relieve pain associated with muscle knots. By inducing muscle relaxation and restoring normal function and blood flow, our injections effectively alleviate discomfort. Using a small needle directly inserted into the trigger point, we break up the knot, allowing the muscle to relax and regain mobility, ultimately reducing pain and improving range of motion.

Don’t let muscle knots dictate your life. Contact us to learn more about how our trigger point injection services can help you find relief and restore your quality of life.

How are trigger point injections performed?

Injections / shots for back pain are performed by a trained clinician with prior experience in administering trigger point shots. The clinician will initially perform a careful examination by palpating over tender areas of the back. Once the tender areas are identified, overlying skin is then prepped with alcohol or betadine. A thin fine needle is inserted into the taut muscle bands. A small amount of a local anesthetic (typically lidocaine) is injected. This process may be repeated if there are several areas of concern.

What Is Expected After The Injection?

Most patients feel almost immediate relief after the injections. Injected areas of the muscle may be sore for a few days after, and respond well to heat, ice, stretching, and over the counter Tylenol/Ibuprofen. Pain relief from trigger point injections can last from a few days to several weeks.
